We are glad to announce our first city quest game!
What is Informal Eco Quest?
The Informal Eco Quest game will take place in Daugavpils city on Saturday 6th April. It is a scripted live-action game where teams of players compete with each other. In order to do this, team members have to get between several locations in the city, complete thematic tasks and earn points. The team that has the most points by the end of the game becomes the winner!
Informal - The main purpose of the game is to spend time together in the company of people who enjoy active and enriching activities. It is true that the game has a competitive element and there will be a winner once it ends. Nevertheless, we hope that all participants will enjoy the process itself, and that winning the game will be just a small bonus for one of the teams.
Eco - The main theme of the game is ecology, the importance of nature and responsible attitude towards it. The game will involve " environmental" locations, and you will surely learn something new about how you can be more responsible in preserving the environment while performing the tasks.
Quest - The game can be classified as a quest (adventure). It will have a relatively linear plot. To advance in the game, participants will need to fulfil a number of tasks assigned to them. The speed and quality of completing tasks will affect the number of points, but we have tried to minimise the need for "high-speed" travel between locations.
This is our first quest and we are conducting it as part of the 2023-1-LV02-ESC30-SOL-000117014 "Informal ECO Games" project.
Therefore all the necessary specific equipment will be provided by us, the organisers.
