The Daugavpils Geek club invites you all to have some competitive but friendly wargaming fun in our town!

Registration:
- In order to register, you must apply by end of Sunday 24.09.2023 (24th September) and submit your roster by end of Sunday 01.10.2023 (1st October). Registration works through the all-new GW's Warhammer 40,000 App now.
- If your roster is not ready by the time you apply, send us any screenshot of the all-new GW's Warhammer 40,000 App. In comments, please mention the army you plan to play with. We'll decline your application, but add you to the participants list.
- Once your roster is ready, send us a screenshot from the all-new GW's Warhammer 40,000 App showing that your roster is approved by green check-mark there. In addition, export your roster from the app and paste it into your registration's comment section.
- If you have already registered using BattleScribe by now (19.09.2023 12:00) - no worries, we'll use these applications.
- The amount of entries is limited by 20 places. The first 20 approved applications will participate.
If you'd like to book a room in the hotel or have any other enquiry, please mention that in the comments while applying.

Other:
- Please contact us directly ASAP if you plan to stay in Dinaburg SPA Hotel. We have some rooms requested for our participants. Standard rates: 35 euro/nigth for single rooms, 45 euro/nigth for double/twin rooms, 65 euro/nigth for higher comfort rooms. Breakfast included.- 3D printed models and proxies must clearly represent their original counterparts in size and loadouts. In case you're not sure if your models adhere to WYSIWYG, please contact us directly before printing and adding them to your roster.
- There will be an additional roster check-up at the start of the event to see if the army complies with painting / wysiwyg rules.
FAQ:
- WYSIWYG. The main rule is not to confuse other players. If your squad profile says 'power weapon', different models in that squad may have various power weapons (e.g. axe, sword etc.). At the same time, all of those weapons must share some features like being painted in a specific 'power weapon' way. And no other type of weapon should be painted that way. Ideally you should also mention what kind of equipment each of your units have when you start playing with every new opponent.
Miniature bases. We ask you to base your models using the bases that they are currently officially sold with. If you've bought and built your models a while ago, please check https://games-workshop.com/ for reference.
- We plan to use the full 10th ed list of rules, including terrain footprint.
- BattleScribe vs GW's WH40k app. We had several people telling about issues with their rosters in BS. GW's app is official, up-to-date and free to create 1 roster. Apparently, it's time to move on. You can use any app / website / printouts for your own reference during the game, but please have the GW's app close in case there are any issue with rules and your opponent asks for the source.
- Ruling for Tyranids. The 'Surprise Assault' stratagem satisfies the condition of the 'Will of the Hive Mind' ability by targeting friendly unit so it is discounted from 1CP to 0CP.
